Another localite to be featured on a reality show, Frisco teenage singer Cheyenne Kimball was a star even before her debut album, The Day Has Come, came out earlier this year. Her MTV reality show, Cheyenne, guaranteed her fans near and far; some artists would have given their left foot to have the right one in that door. To Kimball's credit, The Day Has Come is certainly not a bad record; many of the songs are quite good, in a Michelle Branch/Kelly Clarkson/pop-rock sort of way. And, again to her credit, she had a hand in penning each of them, while most other young performers let someone else do all the work. It may not seem fair, then, that she's still on the small-club circuit, but maybe, just maybe, Kimball will turn out to be a music-industry rarity: an artist whose popularity grows along with her music. Rolling Stones "The Day Has Come" Review

This sixteen-year-old blonde from suburban Dallas already has her own MTV reality show, Cheyenne. She decided to be a rock star when she first heard her all-time favorite band, Blind Melon. She even gets two of the Blind Melon guys to help with the songwriting -- awww! Kimball sings about teen romance in "Four Walls" and "Breaking Your Heart," with lyrics that are practically Zen. "You would be everything I want/If I wanted it/But I don't" -- cosmic! Best liner note: "Shannon Hoon, you will always be in my heart, and my music."

They're crazy about Cheyenne

At the Newport Centre Mall earlier this month, teen rocker Cheyenne Kimball cranked up the noise decibels, sending her fan base into a frenzy.
The 16-year-old Texas-bred ingenue performed before hundreds of adoring admirers in one of the first shows on her national tour, which mostly will feature appearances at various malls.
Kimball's new CD "The Day Has Come," which contains 13 tracks, was released earlier this summer. "People" magazine offered up rave reviews of the disc, saying that Kimball "will win over even the meanest girls with a pop-rock debut that beats anything by Ashlee Simpson, Hilary Duff or Lindsay Lohan." ...
